Seton Hill began their trip to Florida with a matchup with Winona State on Saturday evening in Davenport, FL.
The Griffins defeated Winona State 6-5 in 10 innings in the matchup. SHU is now 5-3 overall.
SHU took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning on an RBI single from
Owen Sabol. WSU tied the game at one with a run in their half of the first.
The Griffins retook the lead in the second on an RBI double from
Matt Frazetta. Winona tied the score at one with a homer in the bottom of the second.
Jack Oberdorf doubled in two runs in the fourth as the Griffins took a 4-2 lead.
Noah Sweeney added an RBI single in the eighth to increase the lead to 5-2.
Winona State tied the score at five with three runs in the bottom of the ninth.
Owen Sabol gave SHU a 6-5 lead with a sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth.
Evan Rossi earned the win with two innings of work.
Michael Marinchak earned the save.
Sabol and Frazetta each had two hits for the Griffins
