Natasha Bernett Named Outstanding Field Athlete for PSAC Indoor Championships

Seton Hill graduate student Natasha Bernett picked up a special award following her special performance at the 2024 PSAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.  

Bernett was named the Outstanding Field Athlete for the Indoor Championships.  The league announced the award at the conclusion of the meet.  

Bernett finished with two first place finishes, one third place finish and one sixth place finish along with a fifth place finish as part of a relay team.

Natasha won the pentathlon title on Sunday afternoon, finishing the event with 3,678 points.  The points are a new meet record, besting the previous mark of 3,594 in 2007.  She was first in the 60 hurdles (8.83) and high jump (1.62 m).  Natasha was second in the 800 with a time of 2:31.55.  She was was also sixth in the long jump on Sunday afternoon.  

On Monday, Natasha won her second PSAC Indoor Championship.  Bernett won the 60 meter hurdles in an NCAA D2 Provisional time of 8.82 seconds.  Natasha was also third in the high jump, clearing 1.61 meters.  She was also a part of the 4x4 relay team that finished fifth.

She joins Samuel Hartman and Mallory Sanner as Griffins to earn Outstanding Athlete Awards at a PSAC Championship.
