Bernett Wins Second PSAC Indoor Championship

Women 3rd, Men 9th at PSAC Indoors

Seton Hill closed out competition at the 2024 PSAC Indoor Track and Field Championship on Monday afternoon in the Rauch Fieldhouse at Lehigh University.

The women's team finished with their best ever finish at a PSAC Indoor Championships with a third place team finish.  The women finished the 17 events with 58 points.  The men finished ninth with 22 points.  

Leading the way for the women was Natasha Bernett who won her second PSAC Indoor Championship on Monday.  Bernett won the 60 meter hurdles in an NCAA D2 Provo time of 8.82 seconds.  Natasha was also third in the high jump, clearing 1.61 meters.  

Koschinya Jefferson was fifth in the 60 hurdles in a time of 9.03 seconds and eighth in the 200 dash in a time of 25.93 seconds.  

Isabella Myles was seventh in the 3K in a time of 10:26.40.  Keelin Becker was eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.03 meters.  

The women's 4x4 relay team of Jefferson, Haley Brenny, Anna Roberts and Bernett were fifth in a time of 4:00.93.  

Andrew Campbell just missed a PSAC title with a second place finish in the 60 meter dash.  Campbell finished in 6.830 seconds, .007 seconds behind the winner of the event.  

Ben Hartman was sixth in the 60 meter hurdles in a time of 8.62 seconds.  Angelo Allen was seventh in the shot put with a toss of 15.66 meters. Malwandla Baloyi was eighth in the heptathlon with 4,316 points.  He was first in the high jump (1.89m) and 60 meter hurdles (8.66).

The 4x4 relay team of Joseph Piper, Blaise Verrastro, Kaden Crump and Jacy Willis was fifth in a time of 3:26.71.  

The teams will now await announcement of the qualifiers for the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships on March 8-9 in Pittsburg, Kansas.  The field will be announced on February 27th.
