Wrestlers Compete in 45th Annual Midwest Classic

Eight members of the Seton Hill wrestling program spent the weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana for the 45th Annual Midwest Classic this past weekend.  

The Griffins had a pair of wrestlers advance to the round of 16 but did not have any wrestlers place in the event.

Both Nikolas Ferra and Ty Linsenbigler advanced to the round of 16 on Saturday.  Ferra picked up two wins by decision at 141 pounds to advance to the round of 16.  Ferra fell by fall in the third round.  He responded with a win by decision to advance to Sunday's consolation round.  Ferra dropped his first match on Sunday.  

Linsenbigler won by decision to advance to the third round.  He dropped a major decision in the round of 16.  Ty picked up a 17-0 tech fall win to advance to Sunday.  Linsenbigler dropped his first match on Sunday.  

Don Lindsey (125) and Kane Kettering (174) each went 2-2 in the tournament.  Jacob Gardner (133) went 1-2 on the weekend with a win by fall.
