The Griffin women's soccer team closed out their season with a home matchup with Edinboro in PSAC West action. Prior to the match, the Griffins honored ten seniors.
Each team scored a first half goal as the teams both closed out their seasons with a 1-1 tie. SHU finished the season with a 5-6-7 overall record and a 3-6-5 mark in PSAC West play.
The Griffins took an early lead in the contest.
Lucia Lorenzo Parga headed a free kick which was saved by the Boro keeper but
Brenna Springer found the rebound and gave SHU the 1-0 advantage with a little under 33 minutes to play in the half. Edinboro tied the score at one with a goal with 13 minutes left in the half.
The Griffins outshot the Scots 12-9 in the contest. Edinboro had five corner kicks to three for SHU.
Lorenzo Parga led SHU with two shots on goal.
Sydney Caldwell made 8 saves in net.
