Griffins Fall to Shepherd on Senior Day

Seton Hill closed out the season with a home matchup with Shepherd on Senior Day on Saturday afternoon at Offutt Field in Greensburg.  SHU honored 12 seniors prior to the contest.  

The Griffins scored the first ten points of the game before Shepherd scored the final 13 points of the contest as they defeated the Griffins 13-10.  SHU ends the season with a 3-8 record.  

Shepherd opened the game with a long drive but missed a 43 yard field goal to end the drive.  The Griffins then marched 59 yards in 13 plays for a 32 yard field goal from Jack Wagner that gave SHU a 3-0 lead with 3:52 to play in the first quarter.  The Griffins carried the lead into the second quarter.  

Midway through the second quarter, the Griffins took advantage of a short field.  Ky'Ron Craggette had runs of 11 and 40 yards, the 40 yard run was a touchdown run as SHU took a 10-0 lead with 6:13 to play in the first half.  The Rams answered right back with a four play 85 yard drive to trim the Griffins lead to 10-7 with 4:02 to play in the half.  The Griffins led 10-7 at the half.  

Shepherd's first drive of the second half resulted in a 28 yard field goal that tied the score at ten with 8:48 left in the third quarter.  The Rams then moved 57 yards in 12 plays for the go ahead score, a 25 yard field goal with 1:10 to play in the third quarter.  

Neither team scored in the fourth quarter with each team having one turnover.  

Craggette rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown.  Jake Cruz threw for 150 yards.  Cody Rubrecht had four catches for 41 yards.  Todd Phillips had 41 receiving yards.  D'Kairi Boone had 11 tackles to lead the Griffins.  Drew Zimmerman added 10.
