The Griffin wrestlers kicked off their season at the Edinboro Duals on Friday afternoon in Edinboro, PA.

Seton Hill opened with a matchup with Pitt Bradford before taking on host and Division I foe Edinboro in the second match of the day.  The Griffins opened with a 51-6 victory over Pitt Bradford before falling to Edinboro 47-0.

SHU picked up wins by fall in the first three matches of the Pitt Bradford match.  Don Lindsey won in 2:05 at 125 pounds.  Jacob Braun won in just 46 seconds at 133 pounds and Nikolas Ferra won in 5:46 at 141 pounds.  Ty Linsenbigler won 17-0 in a tech fall win at 149 pounds.  Christian Hirak won by fall (2:25) at 157 pounds.  

Seton Hill won the next two matches by forfeit.  Brendan Finnerty won by fall in just 47 seconds at 197 pounds and Ethan Cain won 15-1 by major decision in the final match of the game.  

The Griffins return to action next Sunday at the Bob Del Rosa Ohio Intercollegiate Open in Cleveland, OH.
