Women's Soccer Posts 1-0 Win at CalU

The Seton Hill women's soccer team made the short trip to CalU on Wednesday evening for a PSAC West contest.

The Griffins scored on a penalty kick late in the second half for a 1-0 win over the Vulcans.  SHU is now 5-4-4 overall and 3-4-3 in the west.

Neither team was able to crack the scoreboard in the first half of action.  The Vulcans outshot the Griffins 4-3 in the half.

Late in the second half, Samantha Hallo got behind the Vulcan defense and was taken down in the penalty box which awarded the Griffins with a penalty kick. Corynna Rotoli converted the PK to give SHU a 1-0 lead with just over 17 minutes to play.  SHU was able to close out the half and keep the Vulcans off the scoreboard.

Sydney Caldwell made three saves in the shutout win.  Rotoli had two shots on goal to lead SHU.

The Griffins will travel to Clarion next Wednesday for another PSAC West contest.
