The Griffin track and field teams competed at the Doug Raymond National Qualifier at Kent State this weekend.
Each team finished the weekend with seven top 10 finishes.
On the women's side,
Natasha Bernett was second in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.79 seconds. She also finished fifth in the heptathlon on Friday with 3,441 points.
Isabella Myles was third in the 5K on Friday evening in a time of 18:18.70. She also was eighth in the mile on Saturday with a time of 5:17.98.
Keelin Becker was seventh in the long jump with a leap of 10.60 meters.
Kate Pipilo was ninth in the mile with a time of 5:18.82. The 4x4 relay team of
Carly Yanek,
Haley Brenny,
Layla Robertson and
Koschinya Jefferson was sixth with a time of 4:10.72.
Andrew Campbell led the men's team with a second place finish in the 60 dash. He ran a time of 6.86 seconds.
Angelo Allen was seventh in the shot put with a toss of 14.89 meters. Allen was tenth in the weight throw with a toss of 15.38 meters.
Jacy Willis placed fifth in the 400 with a time of 49 seconds.
Joseph Piper was ninth in the 200 with a time of 22.37 seconds. Malwandla Baloyi was tenth in the heptathlon with 3,740 points. The 4x4 relay team of Piper,
Blaise Verrastro,
Kaden Crump and Willis placed fifth in a time of 3:24.24.
The teams will head to Youngstown State for the Mid Major next weekend.
