Seton Hill hosted Shippensburg in a PSAC Dual in the home opener for the Griffins on Wednesday evening.
The Griffins won seven of the ten matches in route to a 34-9 victory over the Raiders. SHU is now 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the PSAC.
SHU took an early 6-0 lead when
Matthew Frank picked up a win by forfeit at 125 pounds.
William Burgess followed with a dominant 10-0 major decision at 133 pounds which extended the SHU lead to 10-0.
Jacob Gardner did not need alot of time in his match as he won by fall in just 54 seconds as SHU led 16-0. Shippensburg won the next two matches to trim the lead to 16-6.
Collin Hearn got the Griffins back in the win column with an 11-2 major decision at 165 pounds to extend the SHU lead to 20-6.
Kane Kettering followed with a first period win by fall as the team extended the lead to 26-6 with three matches remaining. Ship scored their final points with a win at 184 pounds.
Brendan Finnerty and
Ethan Cain closed out the match with major decision wins. Finnerty won by a 10-2 score and Cain picked up a 10-1 win.
The Griffins will host Millersville on Saturday afternoon in another PSAC Dual match.
