Football Falls in PSAC Crossover at East Stroudsburg

Box Score Seton Hill continued PSAC Crossover action on Saturday afternoon as they made the long trip to East Stroudsburg.
 
The first half was filled with big plays as East Stroudsburg built a 42-14 lead at the half and defeated the Griffins by the score of 55-21.  SHU falls to 1-2 on the season while ESU improved to 3-0. 
 
East Stroudsburg took a 7-0 lead on their second possession of the contest with a long touchdown run at the 12:33 mark.  Taz Morris returned the kickoff 36 yards to the ESU 47 yard line setting up the first Griffin score.  Hayden Teska hit Mark Bails Jr. with a 35 yard pass to move the ball to the one yard line setting up a one yard TD run by JaiQuawn McGriff that tied the score at seven.  Midway through the quarter, the Warriors extended their lead to 14-7 on a 31 yard touchdown pass.  On the final play of the quarter, the Warriors extended their lead to 21-7 with an 11 yard touchdown pass. 
 
On their first drive of the second quarter, Teska hit Bails Jr. with a 57 yard catch and run that cut the lead to 21-14 with 13:10 to play.  The Warriors scored three more touchdowns to close out the second quarter scoring as they took a 42-14 lead into the halftime break. 
 
ESU marched 63 yards on six plays on their first possession of the second half as they pushed their lead to 49-14 with just under ten minutes to play in the quarter.  The Warriors then used a pick six as they built their lead to 55-14 midway through the quarter. 
 
Early in the fourth quarter, Teska connected again with Bails Jr, this one a 31 yard touchdown pass which trimmed the lead to 55-21 with 11:47 to play. 
 
Teska threw for 218 yards and two touchdowns in the contest.  Bails Jr. had nine catches for 150 yards and two touchdowns.  Ben Weaver led the defense with eight total tackles including three sacks. 
 
Seton Hill will begin PSAC West play next Saturday as they host Slippery Rock.
