The Griffin cross country teams began the 2023 season at the Father Bede Invitational on Friday afternoon in Tyrone, PA.  

The women's team finished sixth overall while the men's team placed eighth.  

Leading the way on the men's side was Kaden Crump who finished 24th in a time of 20:30.4.  Kamsi Obuekwe was 59th with a time of 21:36.4.  

On the women's side, Isabelle McCabe paced the Griffins with a 12th place finish.  She ran a time of 20:09.6.  Jada Freeman finished in 34th place in a time of 21:50.7.  Kate Pipilo was 40th with a time of 22:04.3.

SHU will run at the Bethany Bison Invitational next Saturday.
