The Griffin men's soccer team began their 2023 season with a home matchup with Bloomsburg in a non conference matchup on Thursday afternoon in Greensburg.  

Bloomsburg scored a late goal with less than four minutes to play in the second half as they defeated the Griffins by a 1-0 score.  SHU drops to 0-1 on the season.  

Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first half.  Griffin keeper Aidan Hollander made four saves in the first half to keep Bloomsburg off the scoreboard.  

The Huskies were finally able to crack the scoreboard in the 87th minute on a header off a cross.  

Hollander finished with seven saves in the contest.  

The Griffins return to action on Sunday afternoon when they host the District of Columbia in another non conference matchup.
