Seton Hill Men's Lacrosse Coach
Brian Novotny has announced a staff promotion and a staff addition to the men's lacrosse program for the 2023-2024 season. Long time assistant coach
Chris Ilse, has been promoted to Associate Head Coach while Jackson Hand has accepted the role of Graduate Assistant Coach.
"I am extremely excited to announce that Coach Ilse has be elevated to Associate Head Coach," Novotny stated. "Coach Ilse's contributions to our program have been immense. Chris arrived on campus almost 14 years ago. His impact on our student athletes, our program, and our university have been profound. This title more accurately reflects his role within our program and Seton Hill University."
Jackson Hand will join the Griffins as Graduate Assistant Coach starting this month. Jackson is a 2022 graduate of Hood College earning a Degree in Law and Criminal Justice. Jackson's senior year he served the team as a Captain.
"I am thrilled to welcome Jackson to our program," said Novotny. "Jackson has a strong background as both a player and coach in both field and box lacrosse. What really stood out to me in speaking with Jackson's coaches, teammates and colleagues was how good of a leader he is. He is someone who invested in his own success, but also invested in the success of his teammates and the greater community."
