A pair of Griffin baseball players were honored by the American Baseball Coaches Association last week when the ABCA named its Regional All Defensive Teams.  

Graduate student first baseman Logan Vietmeier and senior third baseman Jack Oberdorf were both named to the ABCA Atlantic Region All Defensive Team.  It is the first Regional All Defensive Team Award won by both individuals.  

Vietmeier committed just one error in 458 chances at first base for the Griffins.  Logan had a fielding percentage of .998.  Oberdorf made a ton of spectacular plays at third base while committing just six errors on the season in 135 chances.  Jack finished with a fielding percentage of .956 on the season. 

The pair helped the Griffins set a new school record for fielding percentage as they fielded .980 as a team.  

This season, Oberdorf was a D2CCA All American honorable mention selection.  In addition, he earned all region honors from the ABCA, D2CCA and NCBWA.  Jack was a first team All PSAC West selection.  Vietmeier was a second team All PSAC West selection this spring.
