Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Seton Hill began their four game set against Mercyhurst with a PSAC West doubleheader against the Lakers in Erie on Thursday afternoon. 
 
Mercyhurst ended the Griffins 24 game PSAC West winning streak with a 5-0 win over the Griffins in game one of the doubleheader.  The Lakers completed the sweep of the Griffins with a 4-1 win in game two.  SHU falls to 38-10 overall and 24-2 in the PSAC West. 
 
The Lakers took a 3-0 lead in the second inning of game one with a three run homer.  The added another run in the third on a solo homer and then put up an insurance run in the fifth with a sacrifice fly. 
 
Vincenzo Rauso led the Griffins with two hits.
 
In game two, the Lakers took advantage of a leadoff walk to take a 1-0 lead in the first inning. 
 
The Griffins tied the game at one in the second.  Joe Fiedor singled to start the inning.  He stole second and third and scored on a two out, RBI single from Noah Sweeney. 
 
Mercyhurst got a leadoff homer in the fourth and an RBI double in the fifth as they took a 3-1 lead over the Griffins.  They added an insurance run in the sixth with a one out RBI single. 
 
SHU got runners at second and third with one out in the seventh but two ground outs ended the contest.
 
Fiedor and Jack Whalen each had two hits for SHU. 
 
The Griffins will conclude the PSAC West schedule with a doubleheader with Mercyhurst in Greensburg on Friday.
