Seton Hill continued play at the PSAC Championships on Saturday afternoon looking to win their third PSAC Championship when they battled West Chester at Jack Critchfield Park in Slippery Rock.

Seton Hill continued their great play in the tournament as they won their third PSAC Championship with a 10-0, eight inning win over West Chester. The Griffins finished the tourney with a 4-0 record and are now 44-10 on the season. SHU earns the PSAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Senior
Vincenzo Rauso was named the Tournament MVP as he went 11-17 in the tournament while he drove in eight runs. Â

The Griffins sent eight hitters to the plate in the top of the second inning. With one out,
Max Mandler singled.Â
Braden Durham doubled down the right field line to move Mandler to third.Â
Joe Fiedor walked to load the bases.Â
Noah Sweeney scored Mandler with a sacrifice fly to make it 1-0. Fiedor and Durham then executed a double steal with Durham stealing home.Â
Jack Whalen walked and stole second. Both Fiedor and Whalen scored on an RBI single from
Vincenzo Rauso as SHU took a 4-0 lead.Â

SHU added another run in the fourth inning. With two outs, Whalen singled. He stole second, tying the PSAC record for single season steals, and scored when Rauso singled to left center field, giving SHU a 5-0 lead.Â

Seton Hill pushed across three more runs in the fifth.Â
Logan Vietmeier led off with a double.Â
Owen Sabol drew a walk. Mandler just missed a homer, hitting one off the top of the wall in left center, and settled for an RBI double. Durham then tripled to right center field scoring two and giving the Griffins an 8-0 lead.Â

The Griffins added another run in the sixth. Rauso led off with a single. He moved to third on a
Jack Oberdorf single and scored on a Sabol sacrifice fly.Â

SHU picked up the important tenth run of the game when Rauso scored on a wild pitch in the eighth.Â

Rauso led the Griffins with a 5-5 performance while driving in three runs. Mandler went 4-4 in the win with two doubles. Durham added a double and triple.Â
Andino Vecchiolla,
Michael Marinchak and
Blake Barker combined on the seven hit shutout.Â

The Griffins will learn their spot in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday evening at 11 PM. There is a good shot the Griffins will be chosen as one of the two host sites for the Atlantic Regional.Â
