The Griffin track and field teams took part in the Paul Kaiser Classic hosted by Shippensburg University on Saturday afternoon.
Both teams finished with eight top eight finishes. The women's team had three first place finishes while the men's squad had one.
On the women's side,
Darby Roth led the Griffins with two first place finishes. She was first in the 800 with a time of 2:15.75 and first in the 1500 with a time of 4:39.85.
Alexis Cunningham was first in the steeplechase. She finished the event in a time of 11:35.82.
Alyson Taylor was third in the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.00.
Keelin Becker was fifth in the 400 hurdles (1:05.75) and
Haley Brenny was sixth (1:05.76). Becker was seventh in the triple jump with a leap of 11.17 meters.
Madelyn Fike was seventh in the 400 in a time of 59.49 seconds.
On the men's side,
Gabriel McConville was first in the 1500 with a time of 3:54.31. McConville was fifth in the 800 in a time of 1:53.77.
Donavin Meriweather was seventh in the 800 with a time of 1:54.38.
Hunter Martin was second in the 110 hurdles in a time of 14.45 seconds.
Ben Hartman was fourth in a time of 14.99 seconds.
Andrew Campbell placed third in the 100 in a time of 10.86 seconds.
Angelo Allen was fourth in the discus with a toss of 45.80 meters. Allen was fifth in the shot with a throw of 15.11 meters.
Cody Scherle was fifth in the javelin with a toss of 56.53 meters.
SHU will take part in the Slippery Rock Last Chance Meet next weekend.
