The Griffin track and field teams traveled to Towson, Maryland for the Towson Invitational on Friday and Saturday.  

The women's team had eight top ten finishes and the men's team also had eight top ten finishes.  

Alexis Cunningham paced the Griffins with a win in the steeple chase.  She ran a time of 11:46.93.  Darby Roth was second in the 800 and third in the 1500.  She ran 2:17.10 in the 800 and 4:42.95 in the 1500.  Isabella Myles was third in the 5K and tenth in the 1500.  Myles ran 18:16.74 in the 5K and 4:53.73 in the 1500.  

Anessa Pigula placed third in the steeple.  She ran 12:06.46.  Alyssa Scalia was fourth in the javelin with a throw of 30.97 meters.  Alyson Taylor placed fifth in the 100 hurdles in a time of 15.19 seconds.  

Gabriel McConville had a second place run in the 800 and third place finish in the 1500.  He ran 1:54.65 in the 800 and 3:58.22 in the 1500.  Ben Hartman was seventh in the 110 hurdles and tenth in the triple jump.  He ran 15.44 in the 110 and jumped 12.80 meters in the triple.  

Angelo Allen was second in the shot put with a toss of 15.29 meters.  Ben Kissell cleared 4.20 meters in the pole vault, placing second.  Cody Scherle was third in the javelin with a toss of 51.51 meters.  John Giansante was seventh in the triple jump with a leap of 13.37 meters.

SHU will be off next week for Easter before returning to action at the Thiel Tomcat Invitational in two weeks.
