Seton Hill began play in the PSAC Postseason with a road matchup at top seed in the west Mercyhurst on blustery Monday afternoon in Erie.

The Lakers scored the first two goals of the contest and hung on for a 2-1 victory over the Griffins.Â

Seton Hill controlled most of the play for the first part of the first half but the Lakers were able to take advantage of a free kick, scoring a goal in the 22
nd minute of the first half as they took a 1-0 lead over the Griffins.Â

The Griffins were able to outshoot the Lakers 5-4 in the first half with the Lakers holding a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks in the half.Â

Mercyhurst increased their lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 68
th minute. Just over a minute later,
Samantha Hallo cut the Laker lead to 2-1. The Griffins pressed for the final 22 minutes but just could not find the equalizer. SHU hit the post off a free kick with just over ten minutes to play.Â

Lindsey Pazdziorko finished with two saves in net for the Griffins.Â
