Box Score The Griffins started off the PSAC Postseason with a matchup with Mercyhurst in Erie on a breezy and rainy Monday evening.
Seton Hill scored an early second half goal and were able to hold the 1-0 lead as they advanced in the PSAC Tournament with a victory over Mercyhurst.
The Griffins advance to their fourth PSAC Final Four in school history with the win.
Neither team was able to crack the scoreboard in the first half. Each team had four shots on goal with the Lakers leading 2-1 in shots on goal. The Lakers had the only corner of the half.
Aiden Hollander had two saves for the Griffins.
The Griffins took the lead in the early portion of the second half.
James Aubrey headed in a
Brandon Knapp free kick to give SHU a 1-0 lead with 33:34 to play in the half. Hollander made two tremendous saves over a few minute span to keep the Griffins in front with 10 minutes to play.
Hollander finished with seven saves in the shutout win.
With the win, the Griffins advance to the PSAC Semifinal on Friday evening at 6 PM where they will meet top seed from the East, Millersville. Gannon will host the PSAC Semifinals and Finals.
