The Griffin wrestlers competed in the Glenville State Invitational on Saturday afternoon in Glenville, WV.

Seton Hill had four top four finishes on the day including one individual champion, one second place performer and two fourth place performers.  

Leading the way for the Griffins was Brendan Finnerty who won the 197 pound weight class.  He opened with an 11-3 win.  He followed up with a 21-4 win to advance to the semifinals.  In the semifinals, Finnerty advanced to the finals with a 16-1 victory.  Brendan won the individual title by injury default.  

William Burgess placed second at 125 pounds.  He opened with a win by fall (5:00).  Burgess moved to the semifinals with an 18-2 win.  William advanced to the finals with a win by fall (2:35).  He dropped the final by the score of 7-4.  

Both Kyle Burkholder and Riley O'Mara each placed fourth.  Burkholder opened with a 10-4 win.  After dropping a 12-8 decision, he won by fall (1:49).  Kyle then picked up two wins by forfeit before falling in the third place match 15-13.  O'Mara opened with a win by fall (:12).  After falling 11-3, O Mara ran off three straight wins by fall before dropping the third place match 17-1.  

Nikolas Ferra and Kane Kettering each went 2-2 on the day.

The Griffins will take part in the Case Western Open next Sunday.
