Seton Hill closed out their 2023 season with a PSAC Crossover at Millersville on Saturday afternoon.

The Griffins clinched their first winning season since 2008 with a 30-10 victory over the Marauders.  SHU ends the season with a 6-5 record.  Millersville finishes with a 3-8 record.

With the victory, Head Coach Dan Day became the winningest coach in school history.

Both teams punted on their first possession of the contest.  The Griffins took the lead on their second one.  Jake Cruz connected with Mark Bails Jr. for a 24 yard touchdown pass as the Griffins took a 6-0 lead with 3:40 left in the first.

Millersville used a long touchdown run to take a 7-6 lead over the Griffins early in the second quarter.  David Awuah picked off a Millersville pass which set up the Griffins at the Marauders 31 yard line.  SHU took advantage of the short field and took the lead with a 27 yard field goal from Luke Hauger with 5:46 remaining in the half.  Late in the half, Demitri Whitehead intercepted a pass and returned it to the Millersville 31.  It set up a 32 yard touchdown pass from Cruz to Bails Jr that put the Griffins in front 16-7 with 13 seconds left.  Millersville kicked a 52 yard field goal to cut the lead to 16-10 at the half.

Midway through the third, Cruz found Bails Jr for the third time, this one a 29 yard touchdown which put the Griffins in front 23-10 with 6:09 left.  On the second play of the Millersville drive, Josh Cohen recovered a fumble and returned it 33 yards for a score.  SHU took a 30-10 lead with 5:18 left in the third.
