Seton Hill began their weekend road trip with a match at Indiana (PA) on Friday evening in PSAC West action.
IUP defeated the Griffins in four sets in the contest. SHU falls to 8-11 overall and 2-5 in the PSAC West. IUP improves to 14-7 overall and 4-3 in the west.
The Crimson Hawks defeated the Griffins 25-18 in the first set. IUP then took a 2-0 lead with a 25-21 second set win.
The Griffins trimmed the lead to 2-1 with a 25-21 third set win. IUP ended the match with a 25-15 fourth set win.
Paige Cole led the Griffins with 11 kills.
Catie Flohr also reached double figures with 10 kills.
Ella Deeter just missed double figures with nine kills.
Kate Eden paced the offense with 17 assists.
Abby Oesterling added 16 assists. Oesteling also finished with six kills and nine digs. Flohr finished with four blocks while
Mara Yahner added three.
Kendyl Wagner had a match high 18 digs. Cole also reached double figures with 10.
The Griffins will continue PSAC West play on Saturday at Clarion.
