Coming off their second straight PSAC Western Division title and third NCAA Tournament appearance in school history, the Seton Hill women's lacrosse team opens the season as the number 13 team in the country in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason Top 20 Poll. The poll was released earlier this week.
Last season, the Griffins finished with an 14-5 overall record and an 10-2 mark in PSAC West play. The Griffins advanced to the PSAC Final Four for the second time before falling to West Chester. SHU was then eliminated from the NCAA Tournament by the Golden Rams.
2022 National Runner Up and PSAC foe East Stroudsburg tops the 2023 USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason Top 20. Adelphi was second followed by another PSAC team, West Chester in third. LeMoyne and Grand Valley State round out the top five.
Seton Hill will face four teams in the preseason top 25. They'll open the season at top ranked East Stroudsburg on February 26th. SHU will also battle #20 Mount Olive and #11 Rollins on their spring break trip. The Griffins will play a home and home with PSAC West foe #19 Mercyhurst.
