The Seton Hill track and field teams competed at the Youngstown State Mid Major Invitational this past weekend in Youngstown, OH.
The two teams combined for twelve top ten finishes and eight top five finishes.
On the women's side, the Griffins finished with eight top ten finishes and five top fives.
Alexis Cunningham was a part of four top ten finishes while
Darby Roth had three top ten finishes. Cunningham was third in the 800 in a time of 2:19.02 and sixth in the 3K with a time of 10:39.84. The Distance Medley Relay team of
Kate Pipilo,
Alyson Taylor,
Anessa Pigula and Cunningham was second with a time of 12:38.55. The 4x4 relay team of Taylor, Roth, Cunningham and
Layla Robertson was fourth with a time of 4:07.23. Roth was second in the 800 in a time of 2:18.21. Roth,
Isabella Myles,
Sara Renshaw and Robertson's DMR team finished third in a time of 12:45.50.
Sarah Gilliam was tenth in the weight throw with a toss of 14.40 meters.
Blair Harris placed tenth in the shot put with a throw of 11.54 meters.
The men's team had four top tens and three top fives.
Hunter Martin was third in the long jump and fifth in the 60 hurdles. He had a mark of 7.20 meters in the long jump and ran 8.35 seconds in the hurdles.
Gabriel McConville was third in the mile with a time of 4:14.62.
John Giansante placed eighth in the triple jump with a leap of 13.25 meters.
The teams will run in the Jim Wuske Invitational at Mount Union next weekend.
