Seton Hill hosted a tournament in the McKenna Center on Friday as they played a pair of matches with five total matches on the day.
SHU took on Point Park in the first matchup of the day and closed out the day with a matchup with Lock Haven.
Paige Cole led the Griffins to a pair of wins with spectacular performances in both matches. SHU battled back to defeat Point Park in five before sweeping Lock Haven to end the night. The Griffins improve to 8-2 overall. Â
Point Park opened the match with a 25-19 first set win. The Griffins responded with a 25-17 second set win. The Pioneers took the third set 25-23 before the Griffins sent the match to a fifth set with a 25-18 win in the fourth. SHU ended the match with a 15-9 fifth set win. Â
Cole led the Griffins with a career high 27 kills. She hit .415 in the match. She made it a double double with 12 digs.Â
Payton Rodberg also had a double double with 10 kills and 10 digs.Â
Elizabeth Kolkowski added nine kills. She also had four blocks.Â
Riley Rock paced the offense with 25 assists.Â
Abby Oesterling added 22.Â
Katie Koziarz also had four blocks.Â
Mariela Alvarado finished with 18 digs. Â
The Griffins opened the Lock Haven match with a 25-11 first set win. SHU then defeated the Eagles 25-16 in the next two sets for the win. Â
Cole again led SHU with 13 kills, hitting .478. Rodberg also reached double figures with 11. Rock led SHU with 17 assists. Kolkowski added four blocks while Alvarado led SHU with 10 digs.
The Griffins will close out tourney play on Saturday afternoon against Concord.
