After winning the Atlantic Region and earning their first trip to the NCAA Division II Softball Championships, the Seton Hill softball program earned their highest ranking from the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association.
The Griffins finish the 2022 season ranked seventh in the final NFCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll. Its the first time the Griffins have cracked the top 10 in the rankings. Seton Hill finished the season with a 42-12 record, the most wins since joining the NCAA.
Seton Hill won the PSAC Western Division title with a 12-4 record. After going 1-2 in the PSAC Tournament, the Griffins went 3-0 in Atlantic Regional I before sweeping top seeded Kutztown in the Atlantic Super Regional to earn a trip to the NCAA D2 Softball Championships.
National champion Rogers State topped the final poll. Runner up Cal State Dominguez Hills was second. UT Tyler, Auburn Montgomery and North Georgia rounded out the top five. Kutztown finished 15th in the poll.
