For the eleventh time in school history, the Seton Hill baseball team will play in the NCAA Division II Baseball Tournament.
The Griffins earned an at large bid and the fifth seed in the Atlantic Region. Seton Hill, who finished the season with a 31-17-1 record, will meet the fourth seed in the region, Slippery Rock (33-16) in a first round matchup. The other team in Atlantic Regional #1 will be top seed and host West Chester (29-11). The Rams will host the three team regional at Serpico Stadium on their campus beginning on Thursday. Seton Hill and Slippery Rock will play game one on Thursday. Game two on Thursday will be West Chester against the loser of game one.
The other regional in the Atlantic Region, Atlantic Regional #2 will be played at second seed and PSAC Champion Millersville (41-12). The Marauders will host seventh seed and Mountain East Champion Charleston (WV) (36-16) in the first round. The other first round matchup in Millersville will feature #3 seed Gannon (29-15) and #6 seed East Stroudsburg (37-17).
The two regional winners will meet in the NCAA Atlantic Super Regional on May 27th and 28th. The eight regional winners will advance to the NCAA Division II Baseball Championships at the USA Baseball Training Facility in Cary, NC from June 4-11.
