A portion of the Seton Hill track and field team made the trip to Alliance, OH and Mount Union University for the John Homon Open on Thursday.
The teams combined for five top three finishes and sixteen top eight finishes.
The Griffin women had four of the top eight in the 800 meter run.
Sydney Wolf finished first in the event with a time of 2:16.52. That time is the fastest in the PSAC this season.
Darby Roth was third in the event in a time of 2:17.70.
Hannah Smrcka was fourth (2:20.88) and
Alexis Cunningham was eighth (2:24.19).
The women also had two top eight finishes in the 400 hurdles, 1500 and steeplechase. Smrcka was second in the 1500 in a time of 4:47.62 while
Isabella Myles was eighth in a time of 4:56.65.
Anessa Pigula finished second in the steeplechase with a time of 12:34.64 and
Therese Tedrow was eighth.
Anna Roberts was sixth in the 400 hurdles in a time of 1:11.52 and
Alyson Taylor was eighth in 1:19.46.
Ainsley Plumadore was fifth in the 400 with a time of 1:00.02.
Blair Harris was eighth in the shot put with a toss of 11.85 meters.
On the men's side,
Donavin Meriweather had two top eight finishes. He was seventh in both the 1500 (4:06.08) and 800 (1:59.44).
Gabriel McConville placed third in the 800 in a time of 1:55.42.
Ben Hartman was sixth in the 110 hurdles in a time of 15.75.
The teams will also compete in the Ed Fry Invitational at IUP on Saturday.
