The Seton Hill track and fields teams competed in two events over the weekend. SHU ran at the Ashland Alumni Open and the WVU Twilight.
At Ashland,
Samuel Hartman earned two first place finishes. He was first in the 110 hurdles in a time of 14.12 seconds and first in the 400 hurdles in a time of 51.80.
In West Virginia,
Alyssa Scalia had two top two finishes in the throwing events. She was first in the javelin and second in the discus.
Elyssa Pemu was second in both the javelin and high jump. In the pole vault,
Lauren Ritenour was fourth, clearing 3.05 meters while
Teresa Kondas finished fifth.
Abby Oesterling was fifth in the long jump.
Sydney Wolf was third in the 1500 in a time of 4:37.52 while
Hannah Smrcka was sixth in 4:38.00.
Ainsley Plumadore was first in the 400 (58.55) and second in the 200 (26.02).
Darby Roth was fifth in the 800 (2:15.68) and
Allison Pittman was seventh (2:21.04).
Alyson Taylor was second in the 400 hurdles in a time of 1:04.33 and
Anna Roberts was third with a time of 1:08.88.
Ben Kissell was first in the high jump, clearing 3.50 meters while
Tony Sacco cleared 3.05 meters for second place. SHU had the top six in the long jump and top five in the triple jump.
Hunter Martin won both events, with a mark of 6.81m in the long jump and 14.20 in the triple.
John Giansante was second in the long jump (6.27m) and fourth in the triple.
Jameson Kutz was third in the long jump and second in the triple (13.81m).
Nicholas Seto was fourth in the long jump and fifth in the triple. Kissel was fifth in the long jump while
Barry Ozimek was sixth.
Andrew Campbell was third in the triple jump.
Joseph Piper was first in both the 100 and 200. He ran a 11.04 in the 100 and 21.74 in the 200.
Noah Flaherty won the 400 in a time of 51.23 seconds.
Zakharee Williams was second in the 200 and 400. Jalen Myers was third in both the 100 and 200. Campbell was second in the 100 while
Andrew Smith was third in the 400.
Donavin Meriweather was second in the 800 in a time of 1:54.99 while
Gabriel McConville won the 1500 in a time of 3:57.31.
The teams will head to the WVU Last Chance Meet next weekend.
