A small group of Griffins took part in the Doug Raymond National Qualifier at Kent State this weekend.
Saturday was highlighted by a new school record on the guys side in addition to eight top ten finishes from the two teams.
Leading the way for the Griffins was
Gabriel McConville who set a new school record in the mile. McConville finished sixth in the event in a time of 4:19.47.
Samuel Hartman was seventh in the 400 with a time of 49.15.
On the women's side, the Griffins had two top ten finishes in the 800.
Sydney Wolf was fourth in the event with a time of 2:17.71.
Darby Roth was sixth with a time of 2:18.99.
SHU had three top eight placeers in the mile run. Wolf was second (5:07.79),
Alexis Cunningham fifth (5:10.56) and Roth was eighth (5:14.30).
Hannah Smrcka was fourth in the 3K (10:16.58).
The teams will next compete at the Kent State Tune-Up next Saturday.
