The Griffin wrestling team opened PSAC Duals with a home contest with Kutztown on Friday evening.  

Seton Hill got bonus points in all four of their wins but it was not enough as the Golden Bears won six matches for a 24-22 victory over the Griffins.  SHU falls to 4-5 overall and 0-1 in PSAC Duals while Kutztown is now 1-0 overall and 1-0 in the PSAC.  

Kutztown opened the match with a win by fall.  SHU answered right back with a 10-0 major decision win from William Burgess at 133 pounds that cut the KU lead to 6-4 after two matches.  Kutztown picked up a major decision win at 141 pounds before Dominic Williams won by injury default at 149 pounds to tie the match at 10 after four bouts.  

Kane Kettering picked up a huge win by fall at 174 pounds as he was able to cut the KU lead to 18-16.  Kettering got the fall at 1:08 of the first period.  The Golden Bears won two more matches before John Meyers won by DQ at 285 pounds when his opponent got five stall warnings.  

SHU will return to the mats on December 17th and 18th at the Midwest Classic.
