Demetriades, Amos Highlight All PSAC West Men's Soccer Teams

Seven Griffins Earn All PSAC West Honors

Seven members of the Seton Hill men's soccer program were honored by the league for their performance this season as they were named to the league's All Conference Teams.  The teams were released on Thursday afternoon and voted on by the league's head coaches.  

The Griffins earned two first team All Conference honors.  Graduate student defender George Demetriades and junior forward Fletcher Amos were both named to the All PSAC West first team.  Freshman defender Joseph Spencer, sophomore forward Anton Dupont Linden, graduate student midfielder Archie Lock, senior midfielder Yuriy Kryskiv and senior midfielder Cai Pritchard all earned All PSAC West second team honors.  

It is the second straight season that Demetriades has been named a first team selection.  Lock picks up his third straight all conference honor.  Archie was a first team selection the previous two seasons.  Pritchard was a second team selection last season as well.  The other four all pick up their first all conference honors.  

Demetriades led a Griffin backline that produced four shutouts this season.  He also added a goal and an assist.  Amos led the Griffins with 12 goals and 24 points.  His 12 goals were third in the PSAC while his 24 points were sixth.  Amos scored four game winning goals for the Griffins. 

Spencer scored two goals including one game winner this season.  He also added an assist.  Dupont Linden was second on the team with 16 points.  He scored four goals and added a team leading eight assists.  The eight assists were fourth in the PSAC.  Lock ended the season with 10 points on two goals and six assists.  He scored one game winning goal.  Kryskiv scored a goal and added an assist for the Griffins.  Pritchard was second on the team with seven assists.  That tied for the fifth most in the PSAC.  He also scored two goals.  

Mercyhurst won three of the four major awards.  Dylan Sumner was the Athlete of the Year, Jonathan Gomes was the Defender of the Year and Ryan Osborne was named the Coach of the Year.  Gannon's Pau Ferrer was named the Freshman of the Year.
