Seton Hill made the short trip to California, PA for a PSAC West matchup with the Vulcans on Tuesday evening.
The Griffins won the first two sets and then closed out the match with a win in the fourth set as they defeated the Vulcans by a 3-1 score. SHU is now 16-11 overall and 6-9 in the PSAC West.
SHU opened the match with a 25-22 opening set win. They followed that with a 25-21 win in the second set. CalU cut the deficit to 2-1 with a 25-21 third set win. The Griffins then closed out the match with a 25-17 win in the fourth set.
Paige Cole led the Griffins with 19 kills.
Elizabeth Ward finished with 15 kills in 22 swings with no errors.
Riley Rock led the offense with 27 assists while
Abby Oesterling added 18. Cole and
Elizabeth Kolkowski each had three blocks.
Carrie Leazer paced the Griffins with 24 digs.
Mariela Alvarado added 18 digs.
The Griffins will host Salem on Friday afternoon in a non conference matchup.
