Seton Hill hosted Clarion on Homecoming 2022 at Offutt Field in Greensburg on Saturday afternoon.

Jaylen McDuffie broke the Seton Hill career tackles record in a 40-13 homecoming loss to the Golden Eagles.
The Griffins won the toss and deferred their choice until the second half. Clarion took the opening drive and marched 44 yards in eight plays to take a 7-0 lead over the Griffins. A
Jack Wagner punt put the Golden Eagles at their own five yard line and the defense stepped up and forced a punt giving SHU great field position at the Eagles 32 yard line. SHU got to the Clarion 13 yard line but a 29 yard field goal was blocked and Clarion picked up the kick and returned it to the house for a 14-0 lead with 3:13 to play in the quarter.
Clarion took advantage of a interception and extended their lead to 21-0 late in the first half on a 10 yard touchdown run on a fake field goal. Seton Hill responded with a 66 yard touchdown pass to
Hezikiah Hawkins which trimmed the Clarion lead to 21-6 at the halftime break.
The Golden Eagles went 71 yards on just five plays on their first possession of the second half as they used a reverse pass to the quarterback for a touchdown as they built their lead to 28-6 with just over nine minutes left in the third quarter. They added a 31 yard field goal as they built a 31-6 lead heading to the fourth quarter.
Early in the fourth quarter, the Griffins were penalized in the end zone which resulted in a safety. Clarion then took advantage of a fumble on a punt which led to a one play nine yard drive as they extended their lead to 40-6 in the fourth quarter.
Mark Bails caught a 41 yard touchdown pass with 2:38 left in the contest.
JaiQuawn McGriff rushed for 83 yards. Hawkins and Bails each had a touchdown catch.
McDuffie finished with 10 tackles and set a new SHU career record for tackles, breaking Josh Falatovich's record of 306.
Jaden Mack added nine tackles and
Narrio Walks finished with eight.
SHU will continue PSAC West play next weekend when they host California (PA) at 6 PM.
