The Seton Hill Women's Equestrian Team hosted the first meet of the season on Sunday, October 2nd, 2022. Eleven teams traveled to Bloomfield Stables, located in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, to open up their IHSA season. With two wins in limit flat and limit fences classes, Junior Riley Miller led the team to a Reserve High Point Champion win as well as tied for High Point Rider.

The Griffins also celebrated their seniors, Kasey Beres, Sarah Davidson, and Taylor Holmes. Kasey has been a captain on the team for her past 4 years here at Seton Hill. Sarah has been on the team for 3 years and has excelled in her Introductory flat classes. Taylor has also been on the team for 3 years, and today secured a 2nd place finish in her Introductory flat class.Â

Kaitlyn Krueger kicked off the morning with a 1st place finish in her alumni flat class, as well as a 2nd place finish in her alumni over fences class. Shortly after, Senior Kasey Beres rode in her open flat class and open over fences class and placed 2nd in both.Â

The team is incredibly proud of our riders and is beyond excited for what the rest of the season will bring for them. The SHUET's look to continue their success at their next meet October 9th, 2022 at Slippery Rock University.Â
