Seton Hill closed out the road portion of their regular season schedule as they made the short trip to California, PA for a PSAC West matchup with the Vulcans under the lights on Wednesday.
The Griffins outshot the Vulcans by a wide margin but the Vulcans were able to find the back of the net once in a 1-0 win over the Griffins. SHU falls to 8-3-6 overall and 6-3-6 in PSAC West play. Â
SHU can finish no higher than third place in the PSAC West standings. The Griffins currently have 24 points in third place. Slippery Rock has 22 points and plays Clarion on Saturday.
Neither team was able to score in the first half. The Griffins had three shots to one for Cal. SHU had six corner kicks to two for Cal.
The Vulcans got on the scoreboard in the 77th minute as they took a 1-0 lead. Â
Seton Hill finished with 15 shots in the game to just three for CalU. The Griffins had eleven corners to two for CalU.
Mikayla Moyer led SHU with four shots on goal. Both
Victoria Rothrauff and
Jessica Molitoris each added two shots. Â
The Griffins close out the regular season on Saturday when they host IUP on Senior Day.
