The Griffin tennis team opened their 2021-22 season with a short trip down Route 30 to Latrobe as they took on St Vincent.  SHU won all three doubles matches then won all six singles matches for the 7-0 win over the homestanding Bearcats.

The Griffins earned the one doubles point with three doubles wins.. SHU got wins from Cameron Beer/Kendall McCluskey (8-2), Kasey Storkel/Kaitlyn Walch (8-2) and Julianna Begley/Marlayna Verenna (8-3). 

Seton Hill then completed the sweep with six singles wins.  Beer won at number one singles (6-0, 6-1).  McCluskey added a 6-2, 7-5 win at number two singles.  Storkel won 6-1 and 6-1 at number three singles.  Begley won 6-4, 6-1, Walch won 6-1, 6-3 and Verenna picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win.

SHU will host Fairmont State next Sunday at noon at Latrobe High School.
