Seton Hill continued their homestand with a PSAC mandated match against Slippery Rock on Saturday afternoon in Greensburg. Slippery Rock scored in all four quarters in a 8-0 win over the Griffins. SHU falls to 1-5 overall.
Slippery Rock scored twice in the first quarter as they took a 2-0 lead over the Griffins. They scored in the 7th and 11th minutes. SRU held a 3-1 advantage in shots in the quarter.
The Rock added two more in the second quarter. They scored just 1:54 into the quarter then scored on a penalty stroke with 59 seconds to play in the half.
Shannon Mccormac recorded six saves in the half.
With just over five minutes to play in the third quarter, the Rock pushed their lead to 5-0.
The Rock closed out the scoring with three goals in the fourth quarter.
Mccormac finished with six saves in cage in the first half while
Emma Jorgensen added five saves in the second half.
SHU will travel to Bloomsburg on Tuesday afternoon for their first PSAC contest.
