After completing one of the most successful seasons in school history, the Griffin baseball team was fifth in the final National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division II National Top 25.  

The Griffins finished the season with a 39-8 overall record after advancing to their second NCAA Division II National Championship.  Seton Hill defeated Millersville in the Atlantic Regional final to advance to the baseball national championships.  

The fifth place finish is the highest for the Griffins in a final poll in the NCAA era.

Wingate, who won the national championship, received all 19 first place votes.  Central Missouri was second.  Tampa was third followed by Angelo State and the Griffins to round out the top five.  

Millersville was 20th in the poll and Charleston (WV) and WV State received votes in the final poll.
