Seton Hill volleyball standout Viktoria Farian has added one more award to her spectacular resume at Seton Hill as she was voted to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team on Thursday afternoon.

It is the second time in her career that Farian has earned an Academic All District Award.  Farian also picked up the award following the 2018 season.  Farian graduated this past May with an Osteopathic Medicine - Biology degree.  She finished with a 3.71 GPA.  

With her selection, Farian is now eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All American Teams which will be announced next month.  

The recognition honors the nation's top student athletes for their performance on the field and in the classroom.  District 2 represents volleyball teams from the PSAC, Mountain East and CIAA.

Over her three year playing career, Farian was named an AVCA All American Honorable Mention selection twice and a D2CCA All American Honorable Mention selection once.  She is a two time AVCA and D2CCA All Atlantic Region selection in addition to being a two time first team All PSAC West selection.  Farian was named the PSAC West Athlete of the Year in 2018.  

She finished her career with 1,198 kills and 1,275 digs in 95 matches played.  Viktoria added 127 blocks, 123 aces and 107 assists.  

To qualify for the academic all-district honors, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative 3.30 GPA or higher and must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at their institution. Nominees must also be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletic credentials, but career statistics were used for the selection of this year's team due to the majority of teams not playing in the fall of 2020.
