The Griffin women's lacrosse team headed to Bloomsburg to close out their regular season looking to cap off a perfect 13-0 record.  

SHU battled back to tie the contest at seven at the half but the Huskies outscored the Griffins 7-1 in the second half in a 14-8 win to knock the Griffins from the unbeatens.  SHU closes the regular season at 12-1 while Bloomsburg is 8-5.  

Bloomsburg jumped on the Griffins early as they raced out to a 4-1 lead less than eight minutes into the contest.  Back to back goals from Alaina TeSelle and Hannah Thompson cut the lead to 4-3 with 19:59 left.  The teams then exchanged the next six goals with Taylor Fox-Trudel, Kristi Kada and TeSelle scoring for the Griffins as they trailed 7-6 late in the half.  Elizabeth Tamasitis scored with 52 seconds left in the half to tie the score at seven heading to the halftime break.  

SHU held a 16-12 advantage in shots in the first half.  The Griffins won 11 of the 15 draws in the half.  

The second half was all Bloomsburg as they scored the first six goals of the half to build a 13-7 lead.  Jaclyn Frank scored with 2:22 to play for the only Griffin goal of the half.  

The Griffins finished with a 25-24 advantage in shots in the contest.  They also held a 17-7 advantage in draw controls.  

TeSelle and Kristi Kada each scored twice for the Griffins.  Elizabeth Tamasitis added an goal and an assist.  Lindsay Reho finished with three assists.  

The Griffins will host the PSAC Semifinal at Dick's Sporting Goods Field next Wednesday afternoon.  SHU will meet the winner of the PSAC West Quarterfinal played on Saturday.
