For the second time this season, the Seton Hill women's lacrosse team has swept the PSAC West weekly awards. The pair helped the Griffins to a 3-0 week in which they clinched a perfect 10-0 record in the PSAC West.
This week's award winners were sophomore midfielder
Elizabeth Tamasitis and sophomore defender
Makayla Kintner. It is the first PSAC West weekly award for both student athletes.
Tamasitis helped the Griffins to a 3-0 record on the week. She scored 10 goals and added 3 assists in the three contests. Elizabeth also added 5 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers. She scored a career high 7 goals in the Griffins win over Walsh. Tamasitis also had a goal and 3 assists in the win at Gannon.
Kintner helped the Griffins to a 3-0 week. As a defender she had 20 draw controls, 6 ground balls and 5 caused turnovers. The defense held their opponents to just 7.33 goals per game.
On the season, Tamasitis is fourth on the Griffins with 23 goals scored. She has added seven assists. Kintner leads the team with 56 draw controls. She is second in caused turnovers (21) and ground balls (28).
The Griffins will close out the regular season when they travel to Bloomsburg on Wednesday.
