For the third time this season, the men's lacrosse program has swept the Great Midwest Conference weekly lacrosse awards. This week's winners are senior midfielder
Thomas Hanulak who was named the league's offensive player of the week and senior goalkeeper
Kevin Mo who was named the league's defensive athlete of the week. It is the third award won this season by Mo and the first in Hanulak's career.
The duo led the Griffins to a pair of top 15 wins. SHU defeated #12 Frostburg State 12-10 before knocking off #4 Mercy 12-5 this past Saturday.
Hanulak led the Griffin offense by scoring eight goals in the two wins. He also added two ground balls and a caused turnover. Thomas scored twice in the win over Frostburg State then scored a career high six goals in the win over Mercy. Mo won both matches in cage. He allowed just the 15 goals while making a total of 28 saves in the pair of wins. Kevin recorded a career high 19 saves in the win at Mercy.
On the season, Hanulak is third on the team with 19 goals. Mo is 8-1 in cage with an 8.40 goals against average. He had made 95 saves.
The Griffins will wrap up G-MAC play this week as they travel to Alderson Broaddus on Tuesday and then travel to Walsh on Saturday.
