The Seton Hill tennis team closed out the home portion of their scheduled with a matchup with CalU for Senior Day on Saturday at the Greensburg Racquet Club.  

SHU honored seniors Jenna Bailey, Kaelyn Zak, Cameron Beer, Kaitlyn Walch and Ana Salazar prior to the match.

The Griffins won all three doubles matches to pick up the one doubles point then won all six singles matches for a 7-0 win over the Vulcans.  SHU improves to 4-3 overall and 3-2 in PSAC West play.  

In the three doubles matches, the Griffins produced a clean sweep to earn the one doubles point.  The number one doubles team of Jenna Bailey and Kaelyn Zak picked up a 6-1 win.  Cameron Beer and Kaitlyn Walch earned a 6-4 win at number two singles.  Kendall McCluskey and Julianna Begley closed out the doubles matches with a 6-0 win.  

SHU then won all six of the singles matches.  Zak won at number one singles by the score of 6-3, 6-0.  Beer won at number two singles by a 6-1, 6-0 score.  Bailey followed with a 6-4, 6-0 win.  Walch won a hard fought three set match at number four singles by a 6-3, 5-7 (10-6) score.  Marlayna Verenna won 6-1, 6-1 at number five singles and Begley closed out the sweep with a 6-4, 6-1 score.  

SHU will close out the regular season next weekend at Slippery Rock.
