After a very successful senior season on the football field, Seton Hill running back Logan Wiland earned an award for his performance on the field and in the classroom as he earned Academic All American honors on Friday afternoon.  Wiland was named to the CoSIDA Academic All American Division II Football Team as a second team selection.  It was his first selection as an Academic All American. 

Wiland becomes the third Seton Hill football athlete to earn the award joining Zach Delo and Tyler Zimmer.  He joins baseball player Tommy Pellis, men's basketball players Noah and Nathan Davis, track and field athletes Samuel Hartman, Mallory Sanner, Kaitlyn Germanoski, Aron Kurzinski, Josh Wilks and Erin Beattie, softball player Christine Henderson, lacrosse player Anthony DeSana, women's basketball player Tiara Stossel, volleyball athlete Viktoria Farian, wrestler Damon Greenwald and men's soccer player Joe Smith as Griffin athletes to be named Academic All Americans.

Wiland is a graduate student that is carrying a 3.83 GPA in the Business Administration MBA program.  Wiland led the PSAC with 1,236 yards rushing, averaging over 112 rushing yards per contest.  Logan was second among league running backs with ten touchdowns.  On the season, he had seven 100+ yard rushing games and four 150+ yard rushing games.  He ran for a season high 178 yards and three touchdowns against Mercyhurst.

This season, Wiland was a first team All PSAC West selection.
