Lock Haven graduate forward Ahnera Parker highlighted the 2021 Tri-State Thanksgiving Classic All Tournament Team by being named the Most Valuable Player in the Classic.
Parker led the Bald Eagles to the de facto Classic Championship with a 66-62 win over Tiffin on Sunday afternoon. Adnera scored a Classic high 24 points and pulled down a classic high 16 rebounds in the win over Tiffin. Parker also posted a double double of 11 points and 10 rebounds in the Bald Eagles 81-80 win over Salem on Saturday. Adnera averaged 13.5 points and 13 rebounds in the pair of contests to earn MVP honors.
Other members of the All Tournament Team included Lock Haven freshman guard Brooke Lawyer, Tiffin junior guard Aarion Nichols and sophomore forward Jada Tate, Salem senior guard Daniela Quesada and Seton Hill graduate forward
Katie Nolan.
Lawyer averaged 15.5 points per game in a pair of wins for Lock Haven. Lawyer scored 16 points against Tiffin on Sunday. Brooke finished the weekend with 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals.
Nichols averaged 16 points and 10.5 rebounds per game for the Dragons. She scored a game high 20 points and added 14 rebounds in the win over Seton Hill on Saturday. Aarion added seven assists and four steals on the weekend. Tate also posted a double double of 14 points and 11 rebounds in the win over Seton Hill. Tate averaged nine points and 8.5 rebounds in the pair of games. Jada finished with three assists and two steals.
Quesada averaged 12 points per game for the Tigers on the weekend. Daniela scored a game high 17 points in the Lock Haven matchup. She finished with seven rebounds, four steals and two assists.
Nolan posted double doubles in both Griffin contests. She averaged 14.5 points and 14 rebounds in two games for the Griffins. Nolan had a double double of 17 points and 15 rebounds in the win over Salem. She added two steals and an assist and shot 13-14 from the field.
