This weekend, March 7th and 8th, the Seton Hill University Women's Equestrian team competed in their first double-header of the season at Stonegate Farm in Coolville, OH. Many of the team's riders competed this weekend. Individual places for all of the SHU riders are as follows:
Saturday:
Alexis Kupic (Senior): 1st Open Fences, 2nd Open Flat
Summer Black (Junior): 6th Intermediate Fences, 1st Intermediate Flat
Jessica Confer (Sophomore): 5th Limit Fences
Emma Dougherty (Senior): 4th Pre-Novice
Katherine Muise (Freshman): 4th Introductory Flat
Macey Marks (Alumnus): 3rd Alumni Fences, 3rd Alumni Flat
On Saturday, with one 1st place and one 2nd place, Senior Alexis Kupic was the reserve high point rider.
Also on Saturday, with a 1st place in the flat, Junior Summer Black pointed into Open Flat from Intermediate Flat. She also qualified to compete individually at regionals in the Intermediate Flat level.
The team earned 28 points overall on Saturday and won reserve high point team for the show.

On Sunday, with a 5th place in the Open Flat, Senior Alexis Kupic qualified for regionals in Open Flat and will go on to compete individually in regionals in both Open Flat and Open Fences.
The team earned 16 points overall on Sunday.
With 28 points and a reserve high point team ribbon on Saturday and 16 points on Sunday, the team continues to lead the region into the last show of the season before regionals on March 28th at Grier. The entire team is incredibly proud of how well we have done so far this year, and are looking forward to competing again in a few short weeks.
