Box Score The Griffin women's lacrosse team began their Florida trip with a contest in Lakeland, Florida against #8 Florida Southern. 

The Mocs jumped out to a 12-2 halftime and cruised to a 19-3 win over the Griffins.  Florida Southern is now 3-2 while the Griffins drop to 2-2. 

Florida Southern scored the first ten goals of the contest to lead 10-0 with just under twelve minutes to play in the first half.  SHU then got back to back goals from Taylor Fox-Trudel and Alyssa Ference to trim the lead to 10-2 with two minutes to play before the half.  Kristi Kada assisted on the Fox-Trudel goal.  The Mocs scored the final two goals of the half to take a 12-2 lead into the halftime break.

Kate Kada scored the first goal of the second half for the Griffins final tally. 

Kyleigh Hessian finished with 8 saves in cage. 

SHU will meet #16 Saint Leo on Wednesday evening at 7 PM.
